You’re Invited…

If you knew there was going to be a big party and EVERYONE was going to be there wouldn’t you want to go? Better yet if you knew there was going to be this huge party and you had VIP tickets and a few extras, what would you do?

You probably would go find your best friends, tell them all about the party, and let them know you have VIP tickets for them so that they could enjoy it with you.  The best of the best.  After all, you would want to be able to hang out with your friends at the party so that they didn’t miss a thing and you wouldn’t have to go back to tell them about what happened and everything they missed.

If I were to win the lottery today, I wouldn’t go out and find some strangers to come celebrate my winnings with.  I would probably go and find all my family and close friends and invite them to the celebration I would have.

It’s only natural to want to be surrounded by the ones you care about the most when it comes to good times.

The story was told of a man who was caught up in the air and went to Heaven.  On his way up in the sky, his friends who were not caught up to go to heaven and still on earth were looking at him and they were calling out to the man.  One cried “Why didn’t you tell me about Jesus? You knew about Him and you didn’t tell me!”  Another said “I worked with you everyday and you never told me about Jesus.”

Friends,  I don’t want to be at that that glorious celebration in Heaven and not see my friends, family, and coworkers.  Those of us who know Jesus need to tell others about Him.  Especially those who we come in contact with everyday.  We may be the only ones who come in their path to give them the Good News.

I want to tell all who read this blog post that Jesus is in Heaven right now preparing the greatest party of all time and you are invited.  All you have to do is accept the invitation of the Savior Jesus Christ and he will prepare you and your heart for the greatest Celebration the world has ever known …for the Bible says in John 14:2,3:

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Revelation 3:20 says: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Friends, I know of the greatest party ever…Won’t you be there?  After all you are invited!

Until Later,

As I sat down to create this post, I had something in mind I wanted to write about, then the Holy Spirit inspired me to write something else!  Here goes…

Psalm 51:17  says “The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” (NLT)

I think about my Faith Walk and how, until I became broken, I couldn’t fully accept God and He could not use me for His will.  As I look back on the year and a half since I have been re-baptized and look at what He has been able to accomplish through me I stand amazed.

How many times have you heard someone say that losing their job was the best thing that ever happened to them?  That being broke financially turned someone into a millionaire? That the end of a marriage made way for new love?  That being spiritually desperate led someone to Jesus?  It seems that the greatest blessings come from (what at that time is perceived as) the worst situations.   Sometimes it takes losing it all in order to gain the most.

Sometimes God allows us to be broken to get our attention.

Psalms 34:18 says “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”  and Psalms 147:3 says “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”

Sometimes it is God’s plan for us to experience trials so that He can reveal Himself to us.  Only when we accept Him and allow him to turn those battles into victories can we truly experience God’s love and plan for us.

So whether you or someone you know is Spiritually broken, Financially broken, Heartbroken, Lost their job, etc…know that it may be God’s way of gaining attention so that He may be proved.  Trials will come, I can promise you that, but I can also promise you that if you trust God to deliver you He will, no question!

Did you know it is a fact that shattered glass reflects more light than regular glass?  If you allow yourself to live in the Light of God, I promise that your former shattered life will reflect more of His light to others than you ever will without Him.

Friends, don’t wait until you are broken to seek God, He is always there waiting to receive you and pour out  His blessings on you if you will only seek Him.  The next time a major trial happens in your life, before you say “God why did this happen to me?” stop and think if God may be trying to get your attention and allowing you to be broken so you will call on Him so He can fix you.

Remember I am not a theologian, I am not preaching, I just try and relate my experiences to others as I have learned them.  I’m just tryingtobeamanofgod…
